David Graham: All American Boy
November 20, 1999 - January 16, 2000David Graham is best known for his color photographs of the vernacular American landscape and the people who inhabit it. Graham uses popular photographic genres to capture popular culture: his images resemble snapshots, family portraits, vacation pictures and postcards.
At ICA, Graham exhibited work from the last two decades including a series of American portraits images exploring the quirky side of American life, and photographs of Cuba, taken in 1997 when Graham traveled to that country with journalist Andrei Codescu.
