Barry Le Va Freshman Seminar Photos

ICA's senior curator Ingrid Schaffner has her students conduct hands-on investigations of Le Va's work through reconstruction. Using similar techniques to Le Va, the students gain an understanding of Process Art and Le Va's own unique style of creating calculated dispersions. Students use white flour to create works similar to some of Le Va's "distributions", namely two works entitled Omitted Section of a Section Omitted, 1968-1969 and Extended Vertex Meetings: Blocked; Blown Outward, 1969-1971.
